about the awards
The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) is a yearly contest for the most innovative and creative mobile games in the world.

The objective of the IMG Awards is to create a new and exciting set of awards to recognise the world's most talented mobile game developers, whether they are from professional studios, universities or even back bedrooms!

Recent research published by media research group, Screen Digest, suggests that by 2010, there will be a global installed base of more than 2 billion games-enabled mobile handsets and the worldwide games download market will be worth US$6.4b.

imga - an industry led initiative
Every company involved with the IMGA is a leader in their own field, whether they are a handset manufacturer, network provider, publisher, retailer or specialised Business centre...

These companies have come together to promote the development of rich visual content for mobile devices for the simple reason that it will become one of the most important growth drivers for mobile multimedia in the coming years.

The formation of the global portal - www.imgawards.com as a focal point for all IMGA activities including regular updates on the competition will be found here. All of the IMGA submissions will be made through the global portal.
